How it is calculated
Energy = watts × heaters × hours × thermostat on-time ÷ 1,000. Every electric resistance heater turns 1 kWh into 3.6 MJ of heat – “efficient” claims only change how that heat is delivered. A reverse-cycle air-conditioner delivers 3–5 times more heat per kWh.
Results are estimates for planning, not bills or professional advice. For generator hookups use a transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
